Land Manager

Oil & Gas Property Management Company, Addison, TX


Primary Objective

The position requires a self-starter who has the ability to work in a fast paced environment while multitasking and the successful candidate will be able to work independently with good decision making skills. While the position is that of a manager, the staff will be limited in size requiring a hands-on approach to leadership. Critical functions and capabilities include drafting and negotiation of leases, right of ways, gas marketing agreements, pooling agreements, well elections, title review, curative issues, and other related oil and gas contracts. Experience with us of online courthouse research, state commission sites, oil and gas industry software, Texas File and the power use of Drilling Info will be an advantage. Most of our assets are mineral or overriding royalty based, however, oversight of our working interest assets will require well-rounded industry background and understanding of company objectives.


Bachelor’s degree (PLM, Business Administration or energy related degree a plus not a requirement) Extensive experience in the land field, land administration, lease negotiations, and division order is required. Working with leases in the States of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico will be common place. Experience with AS400 (Avatar), SharePoint, and Microsoft Office products all will be a bonus to the successful candidate.
