Jack is a 2008 graduate of the University of Oklahoma. His career in the oil and gas industry began in 2007 as a college intern with Jess Harris III, Inc., a land services company based in Oklahoma City. Upon graduation from OU, Jack worked from 2008-2012 as a contract landman for TGGT Holdings LLC, a 50-50 joint venture company that owned and operated natural gas gathering and treating assets in three main systems focused on production from the Haynesville, Bossier, and Cotton Valley shale gas formations across East Texas and North Louisiana. The company was equally owned by EXCO Operating Co. LP and BG Group PLC prior to being sold to Azure Midstream. In August of 2012, Jack relocated to Clearfield, Pennsylvania after joining LPR Land Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dallas, Texas based Little Pine Resources, both active in the Marcellus Shale play. He served as a manager for LPR on a multi-year project that included due diligence, title abstracting and lease acquisition for Noble Energy throughout West Virginia and Ohio. In December of 2014, Jack returned to Texas after accepting a position as a Senior Landman with Dallas based Covey Park Energy, a private equity backed exploration and production company primarily focused on the acquisition and further development of long-life assets in the Haynseville Shale play in East Texas and North Louisiana.
Jack and his wife, Nixon, currently reside in University Park with their three year old daughter, Villa. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, live music, OU sports, hunting and fishing, and all things outdoors.
Jack has been a member of AAPL since 2008, and is active in the DAPL, ETAPL, and the Dallas Petroleum Club. This is his first year serving as a Director on the board of DAPL.
