Ben is a 2007 and 2009 graduate of Southern Methodist University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Masters in Applied Economics. Prior to attending Southern Methodist University, Ben played collegiate baseball at New Mexico Military Institute, in Roswell, NM. In the spring of 2015, Ben completed the Super School through the Petroleum Engineering Department at the Colorado School of Mines. Upon returning from a temporary position in Hong Kong, Ben began his work as an Independent Landman in the Eagle Ford shale in 2011. In 2014, Ben worked in the Midland Core Basin through 2016. His experience as an Independent Landman has allowed him to work several different projects in several different states, including Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Wyoming.
Ben resides in Dallas community of Lakewood, where he recently celebrated 7 years of marriage with his wife, Kaci. They have two daughters, Annette and Helen. Being an Eagle Scout, Ben has been an outdoor enthusiast from a very young age. He enjoys spending time with his wife, coaching his daughter's soccer team, taking cross-country flights with his dad, and hunting migratory birds.
Ben was elected in the Fall of 2017 to serve on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Association of Petroleum Landmen in the role of 3rd Vice President-Website. He is also an active member of the Dallas Petroleum Club and the American Association of Professional Landmen where he holds a designation of a Registered Professional Landman.
